Visitors to the Cook Islands can expect far more than beaches, swimming and water activities with many cultural festivals, important days and sporting events. Tourists may want to time their trip to coincide with one of the cultural festivals such as the Dancer of the Year Competition, Te Maeva Nui constitution celebrations and cultural festival, Vaka Eiva canoeing festival or the Tiare flower festival or perhaps observe one of the gospel days that celebrate Christianity in the islands. Maybe a triathlon is more your style with some fun annual events such as the Tinman triathlon or the Air New Zealand International Triathlon.
The dates in the calender of events below are as accurate as possible, but occasionally dates are altered at short notice. If you are planning a holiday to coincide with an event please double check dates with your travel agent to prevent disappointment.
